I just sat down to a quick flight of three Washington State Syrahs. I have not done a ton of tastings of Washington wines so I was interested in checking them out. The wines are the 2006 Owen Rose Ex. Umbris, 2005 DeLittle Cellars Doyenne and the 2006 K Vinters Milbrandt. They are all solid Syrahs but my favorite (and the priciest) of the three was DeLittle Cellars – it is a very rich and elegantly structured Syrah. The Owen Rose was also nice with intense fruit of plum jam and blackberries.
