I stopped by to pick up a shipment of wine today from Gundlach Bundschu (or GunBun as they call themselves) in Southern Sonoma. They had the 2007 release of their Gewurztraminer available for tasting and I took the opportunity. I must admin that I am not a huge fan of Gewurztraminer (unless it is paired with spicy food like Thai) but this Gewurztraminer suprised me. It was floral and light but not sweet and a bit dry. For me – the best type of Gewurztraminer. At $25/ bottle it is not cheap but if you like Gewurztraminer stop by and give it a try.
